Eliane Cordia van Reesema: Equestrian Champion in International Dressage

Eliane Cordia van Reesema is an international equestrian champion in dressage. She rides for Jewel Court Stud, USA, the U.S. branch of her family’s breeding farm near Antwerp, Belgium. The Jewel Court bloodline originates with the mare Jewel’s Classic Touch, the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games winner. Her line has produced generations of champion jumping and dressage horses.

In 2006, Eliane won the Belgian Grand Prix in dressage riding Jewel’s Caracol. Today she rides horses from her family’s stable in competition – Jewel’s Amethyst, Jewel’s Sonnenstern and Jewel’s Adelante. She brought Adelante to the United States at the end of 2011. After working with him for only four months, he scored an impressive 69% during the Wellington, Florida 2012 dressage season.

In addition to competing on the dressage circuit in Europe and the U.S., Eliane is an internationally certified dressage trainer. She conducts clinics for riders and their mounts at top stables. She also operates the U.S. branch of her family’s horse breeding business, Jewel Court Stud. She has been recognized as one of the major figures in international dressage by the sport’s media.
