ALEXANDRA REID
Barn Manager/Assistant Trainer

Alexandra Reid is originally from Toronto, Canada but now resides in the US full-time as Barn Manager & Assistant trainer at JCS, USA. Horses have been her passion from the day she was born. After being introduced to the discipline of Dressage at the age of 14, it was apparent this was her true love and from then on she has set out to work, learn and succeed in the industry.

After completing a year of Sport Management at Brock University in 2011, Alex began a working-student position where she had the opportunity to groom and ride at a high-level competition barn. This was an extremely beneficial experience for Alex as she gained immense knowledge in regards to all aspects of barn/horse management and international competition. During this time, Alex was a groom for team Canada at the 2012 London Olympics, had all first place finishes at the Saugerties and Devon CDI’s and an individual bronze medal at the 2012 NAJYRC in Kentucky on the Dutch gelding, VIP.

Having successfully competed at the YR level, Alex then continued her career as a professional groom for Canadian Grand Prix rider Jill Irving. Here she was able to work, watch & learn alongside many top professionals in Canada as well as the USA. In 2016, Alex completed her education in Toronto as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Currently, Alex has been training under and assisting Eliane with all JCS horses, ranging from 4y/o to Grand Prix. Having successfully competed on Jewel's Adelante starting in 2018 with scores up to 70% in the national Grand Prix, Alex has her sights set on international competition.

ANNIE McFEE
Head Groom

At the age of 6, Annie’s father rescued a pony and the rest is history. Around that same time, Annie started taking riding lessons with Sarah Moulton at Harmony Hills stable in Feeland, WA. When she turned 16 and moved to New York, Annie started training with Danielle and Bertrand Legriffon at Brilliance Stables. She was apart of their team for 11 years. Under their guidance, she had the opportunity to help develop countless young horses both jumper and dressage.

In 2012, Annie was honored to be asked by Canadian Dressage rider Jacqueline Brooks if she would accompany and groom her team mount De Niro at the London Olympics. In the spring of 2017, Annie worked for Chris Von Martels Dressage and not so long after found her way back to the jumpers with Todd Minikus. Having had the opportunities to work out of many barns, with top professionals and with horses of all disciplines, Annie is an extremely well-rounded horse woman who is always hungry to learn more. Horse care and management has always been Annie’s passion and we couldn’t be more pleased to have her as an essential part of our JCS Team.
